80′s Mom Prom Benefits B+
Chris, Ali, and I had a lot of fun last Friday night at the Real Charitable Housewives of Delaware “80′s Mom Prom” benefiting The B+ Foundation. The event was held at the Christiana Hilton and there were about 200 ladies in attendance. The event raised over $7,000 to help us in our fight against childhood cancers. Thank you very much, Real Charitable Housewives of Delaware!
The outfits were outrageous and, as everyone knows who lived through that decade, hair was a big part of the ’80′s. Given that, I thought I would share a picture with you of Andrew’s great locks and an ’80′s picture of mine…my UD graduation photo.
6th Annual B+ 5k Run/Walk – Thurs. June 21, 2012
The B+ 5k Run/Walk website is now LIVE!!! Please create your team using the link below and send out emails to everyone in your address book asking them to donate to your team. As always, there will be a ton of free food from pizza to Johnny’s Dog House hot dogs to Chik Fil A sandwiches to soft pretzels, to Marini’s Produce. As always, the 5k will be held at Andrew’s school, Salesianum.
We will have prizes and, of course, the highlight of the night is when we call our B+ Heroes on stage for their rightfully-deserved recognition.
It only takes a few minutes to create a team and even less to join. Look for the solicitation email on the lower right section of your team page. Please send this email out to at least 20 people.
B+ Running Team – Hamptons Marathon
It’s always more difficult getting something off the ground, so I’d appreciate your help in spreading the word about our new B+ Running Team which will be running either the half or full marathon on Sept 29, 2012 in the Hamptons (NY). We have a limited number of slots that have been given to us for this sold out event. Runner’s World has called the Hamptons Marathon one of the Top 10 marathons. So, if you’ve ever thought about running one or want to run another one, please sign up today. We cover virtually all the costs – registration fee, personal coach, transportation, lodging, meal, jersey, etc. What you need to do is run either 13.1 or 26.2 miles and raise a minimum amount of money. Do something for yourself and help fight childhood cancer at the same time.
Sign up today at: www.BePositive.org/Marathon
Make it a great week.
